The results of long-term investigations of the properties of chrysotile asbestos carried out by "Uralasbest" and institute "Nllproyektasbest" on deposits JSC "Uralasbest", JSC "Orenburgasbest", JSC "Kustanaiasbest" and asbestos producing plants of Canada and Zimbabwe show, that chrysotile asbestos of various deposits has different physical, chemical and engineering properties.

Consumer value of fiber of chrysotile asbestos of the "Uralasbest" Plant rates highest among asbestos from other deposits. In what uniqueness of chrisotile asbestos of our deposit?

A wide selection fibers of different length, which are not often found in other deposits. The Plant puts out asbestos products of all groups known in the world: from 0 to 7.

Asbestos fiber strength and reinforcement capability are the highest, which contributes to its high consumer value in the manufacture of asbestos-cement and technical asbestos components: corrugated asbestos board, asbestos pipes, brake linings, gaskets and other products.

The low content of nemalite, magnes-ite and carbonates, which is 1.6-3.2 times lower than in the asbestos coming from other deposits, contributed to higher strength properties of fiber.

Very fine and elastic fibers separate easily thus ensuring high spinning properties and strength of asbestos cloth.

With equal quality indices and equal content of fractions +1.18 mm and -0.075 mm by Bauer-Mac-Nett hydro-classifier, Ural asbestos exceeds other deposits in relative strength characteristics (FSU).

Multiple tests carried out in national and foreign laboratories showed absence of amphibole impurities in asbestos from our deposit.

Investigations show that depending on consumer value of fiber, asbestos from different deposits is rated differently. If asbestos from the "Uralasbest" Plant is conventionally rated as 1, then asbestos from other deposits would be rated between 0.99 to 0.82.
