We are happy to introduce to you one of the world's biggest and oldest companies in the production of chrysotile asbestos, the "Uralasbest" Joint Stock Company.

The "Uralasbest" Plant operates on the base of the Bazhenovskoye deposit known as the biggest minable store to sustain production of chrysotile asbestos for a century and a half ahead. Utilizing the unique feature of the deposit bearing a wide selection of fibers of different length, the Plant puts out a broad variety of asbestos products.

The "Uralasbest" Plant puts out chrysotile asbestos to the quality standards of Russia, Canada, the "Specifications" clauses, as well as all types of asbestos mixes.

The Bazhenovskoye chrysotile asbestos deposit is free from talc, tremolite admixtures, and with the content of nemalite and magnetite being much lower than in the asbestos coming from other deposits. The "Uralasbest" Plant is continuously implementing measures to improve asbestos quality and packing. The high quality of products is backed by the quality assurance system as per ISO 9001 adopted at the Plant and certificated by TUV-CERT, Germany.

Production facilities operate with observation of environmental safety requirements, which is achieved through the adopted system of environment control to standard IS0 14001.

The volume of the Plant's output accounts for 24 % of the world and 60 % of the Russian Federation asbestos production, of which 50 % are exported.
